Over the last year or so, I’ve been considering all the various lessons that I’ve learned throughout my IT career, and in particular during the last few years as I’ve really embraced Agile methodologies. \u00a0I realized that there is a definite intersection between many of my lessons learned, the types of experiences I’ve had, and some of the biggest burning questions in the world of Agile methodologies.<\/p>\n

To help explain this epiphany, I created a handy Venn Diagram.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Based on this highly scientific research of your interests, I have concluded that we really should talk. \u00a0You have customers who, like you, know that teams using Agile methodologies deliver the best software. \u00a0Furthermore, Agile teams tend to deliver value faster and in smaller budget chunks.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for you, your customer has heard the hype too and taken it to a dangerous conclusion:<\/p>\n

Hey, this is great. \u00a0They can give me better software, do it faster, and make it cheaper, and I get to change my mind whenever I want about the features! \u00a0This is so cool, the only thing that could make it better is if I make them do it for a fixed price so I have nothing to lose!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
