Dave Haeffner<\/a> is the Chief Quality Officer at AgilityFeat, and is responsible for our quality assurance related efforts such as the ATDD Kickstart<\/a> course that we offer.\u00a0 Dave was previously Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at the Motley Fool and has spoken on quality assurance at many user groups and previous conferences including Agile 2010.<\/p>\n

Selenium Users Anonymous<\/em><\/h2>\n

Hi, my name is Dave, and I\u2019m a recovering Selenium user.<\/em><\/p>\n

I was like you once \u2014 new to Selenium, using the IDE for a quick fix. Oh sure, \u201cJust this once. I\u2019ll have plenty of time to change it later.\u201d is what you\u2019d say. But before you knew it \u2014 BAM! \u2014 you\u2019re in so deep you don\u2019t know how to get out. Trying to debug a large suite of brittle tests that constantly break only to find false positives after slow run times along with a nice helping of poor cross-browser coverage.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve seen it a thousand times, and I\u2019m here to tell you, it doesn\u2019t have to be this way.<\/em><\/p>\n
